Our Mission
Our mission is to spread the knowledge and interest of the street movement known as Popping and Locking. Since the disappearance of the scene in the late 80's, Popping and Locking had been forgotten by most, and largely considered an underground movement.
But as the dance scene grows, the originators of the Popping and Locking dance have resurfaced, passing down their knowledge of techniques, moves, characters and history.
Our Vision
At WestCoastPoppin.com, we try not to focus on a particular group or style, but rather bring as many perspectives from all over the world. Respecting all styles of dance and all types of music, this site is a tool for dancers to get connected, learn, share ideas, debate, and spread the art form.
We encourage both experienced and novice dancers to come and share the knowledge they have. Only then can we come to a better understanding of the history and the roots of this art form we call Popping and Locking.
